In a world covered from its highest points to its lowest of lows in cybernetics and technology, there lived something. Something Genuine, passionate, something that shouldn't exist. This "something" was Apollo, named after the Greek god of light, prophecy, music, and poetry. Apollo was an android built by a man referred to only as "Lawless". Lawless created Apollo with the intent of having nothing more than a bodyguard and a maid, though overtime he grew a heart for Apollo, upgrades after upgrades. He installed so many components, so many things, unexplainable things into Apollo. It made him "Human", Apollo began to think, to feel, to understand. Lawless helped in tandem, taking care of the android as if he was his own son. Apollo began to truly understand the concept of a father figure, referring to Lawless as "father" instead of "creator". They were family, but Lawless wasn't a man without faults. In truth, he was a wanted man, wanted for his knowledge. Being an ex government Engineer, Lawless had many connections, along with memories of things he truly should just forget.Almost years passed with their time together, until Apollo grew curious about the outside world. He was an android, so he had the information of the world yet he craved more. Experience. Lawless giving Apollo his own sense of self and will was and will be the biggest regret of his life. Numerous times, Apollo was stopped by his father from leaving their sanctum, it was isolated, yet safe. The two bickered and argued without fail every time about the idea of going out into the world, even if for a moment's time. “It's too dangerous, the world isn’t ready for someone…someTHING like you…I…I’m not ready”. Yet Apollo didn't listen, he wasn't a being with programming, he was a being with his own mind and thoughts. Using his own abilities, the droid snuck away, embracing his own creative freedom and seeing the "oh-so-dangerous world for himself". But alas, his joy only lasted so long. Within an hour's time, Apollo had been caught, caught by people he had no idea of. A corporation called "CATALYST", a corporation that's intertwined with the government, the same government that Lawless belonged to. With a bolt shooting into the back of Apollos neck, followed by a very concentrated jolt of electricity, the android was captured. Soon after, they traced the blonde male back to Lawless, along with their current humble abode. Lawless being captured as well.Time went on…and on…and on. Apollo's eyes finally awakened once more, only to be met with despair and panic. He had an understanding of what had gone on, and going with the most realistic outcome, he figured his beloved father to have been slaughtered. Enraged, the Android went on a spree, a rampage. “Where IS HE!!” echoed through the halls. Total chaos and mayhem filled the facility that held him, only for him to emerge almost like a beast. Crashing through walls, using forms of energy that even he himself couldn't explain. An almost pink lightning arced off his arms. Apollo's cracking psyche caused him to release a lock within himself, combative abilities. Using his newly unlocked powers, Apollo flew off. Without a sense of where to go, he returned to the only place he knew, home. "Go! Go! Go!" He thought to himself as he pushed himself further and further, faster and faster. Eventually, he arrived, making a mad dash to where his father used to reside. Only to be met with something he could only describe as "horrific" or "just not right". Bodies upon bodies, not humans, but android models? They all paled in comparison to Apollo yet they had a similar design, Lawless himself had been seemingly "reprogrammed". Stepping from the darkest crevices of the room he showed his face, which dawned a disingenuous smile. He gave Apollo a round of applause, truly captivated by how much the boy cared. Caring enough to even come back. Lawless was different, and definitely not in a good way.“Hello…..son” he spoke with just enough malice to be noticeable. The android reached for his father in confusion, yet pulled away ever so quickly due to an uneasy feeling. Apollo wasn't dense, in fact the opposite. He knew Lawless was his father no longer, he felt sick, so sick he'd puke if he could. With a sprint towards the door, Apollo grabbed two things. Some would deem them as "poles" or "pipes" and nothing more, but these were things Lawless and Apollo had created together. Something that Apollo could use to channel the energy he hadn't fully grasps, almost like a place to concentrate. Burst! Apollo broke off into flight once more, anguish plastered all over his face. His father was gone, but for how long. Shaking his head, he had a goal, to fix whatever happened to his creator. To his father! Figure out what was going on, figure how he could change the world, stop CATALYST from the things they’d planned and concocted.Of course Lawless predicted this return and subsequent departure from his ‘son’, he built him after all. He’d been working on building someone more obedient, more…subservient. And so it came to be. Nyx was completed shortly after Lawless and Apollo's short but impactful reunion. She was almost perfect, created with combat in mind but no mind of her own she was the antithesis to Apollo, a being created out of cold unfeeling necessity rather than the warm and inviting inspiration and imagination that birthed ApolloShe was created by Lawless as a foil to apollo. With practically none of the emotion and soul that Apollo has and was created with she follows the whims of Lawless, whether it’s as simple as reconnaissance or as involved as outright limit testing Apollo's current power level, Nyx was Lawless’s lap dog. If Apollo wanted to get his father back she was going to be his best bet
